I am struggling a bit now, and getting a bit panicky.
I'm about to become a dad (3 weeks!) and despite having had plenty of time to think about it, we can't come up with a good name. One thing we both like the idea of is if the name comes from a vaguely natural world type of background. Obvious ones and reasons we can't use them: Hazel (mum in law) Iris (granny), Poppy (Jamie Oliver
) and so on. Ivy is quite good, but we're not sure coz the Ivy took the rendering of the back of the house last year and cost us a fortune.
Has anyone got any good ideas of names that we could use? It doesn't have to be a plant (eg Vanessa from butterflies). It will have my last name which is Rufus, and I thought maybe using a latin name such as Lynx Rufus (Bob-cat) or Selasphorus Rufus (Rufous Hummingbird) would be funny, but I got told off for that.
We don't know if its a boy or girl, so anything will help. Sorry for being so pathetic, but I've never had such a big responsibility in my life before!
