Update
Lots of interest since the report went live, with a very swift and vociferous reaction from one of the ruling junta, struck a nerve there me thinks. We are now starting meetings with local councillors and interested parties and we have also made the front page of our local papers, so we are keeping the situation in the public eye. All avenues are being explored incuding the conveyance for the site as there seem to be several errors in it, and other conveyances and leases dating back to the mid 1800's. We are also going to get a survey of the site so ascertain the geological structure and suitability for development (its rubble infill on a clay layer over London gravels all on the side of a hill). A news letter to the locality concerned and letter campaign are planned.
Just in case you don't know, a petition in response to a planning application only counts for
ONE vote for/against that application, much better is to get individual letters, we aim to canvas the local residents with several versions of a pre-printed letter for them to address and sign as
each one will count individually. It's lots of work but worth it.
Apologies but this is keeping me away from WAB, but needs must ..........
