Seen lots of very interesting things whilst fishing, loads of different birds from Wigeon and pochard to things like Goosander, Great Northern Diver and Terns
had Kingfisher landing on the rods and a Robin sitting on the back of my chair
because like you say you spend a bit of time in the same spot then you get more animals accepting you.
Not to sure on what effect the fishing industry going has had on teh wildlife, i know round us we get a lot more what would have been considered rare birds, things like Little Egrets
