Some (sort of) good news from the supermarket front - in Tesco yesterday and I see that much of their wrapping (at least on organic fruit/veg) now clearly states: "Will break down on the compost heap." This in contrast to Sainsburys which certainly does
not!
On the other hand, an example of how it's the customers who pay for all this excess packaging: root ginger unpackaged costs about £1 100g; same ginger wrapped and labelled - more than £2 100g!
