Our garden shed was totally destroyed and the large patio table we had, learnt to fly for a short while before coming back to ground and smashing into pieces. Thankfully as far as I can tell at the moment all our garden trees seem to be still standing.
On a local level the damage here is huge I have seen at least a dozen large trees that have been up rooted today as well as countless huge branches snapped off of others, there are fences down everywhere you look, smashed wheelie bins etc....
It has to be the windiest day we have had here in the East Midlands for many years, possibly since the big storm of 87! |
