I know very few wild places that aren't suitable for most children!
I've looked at this section and would like to add things but am partly overawed by what needs to be done - or perhaps (as usual) I've missed some easy technology.
When I've got over this virus (personal, not computer) I shall have another look and, hopefully, be able to contribute something.
One of the things which perplexes me is that many of the places that I would recommend are in the White Peak - some of them already have already been noted (Deepdale, Monsal Head)
but I would enter Deepdale-Monsal Dale as one site
and would add on Miller Dale, perhaps Wyedale, Monkdale &c &c .... Yes, it would be silly to write these all up as one 'place'
but they are all linked (by the River Wye and its tributaries) but would there be any way of grouping them? Perhaps clusters of places that are withing walking distance of each other?
Probably asking the impossible but it might be useful if you could pick out such clusters if planning a walking weekend (week) and also allow people to select 'hard' from 'easy' access sites?
