Years ago, we had a holiday in which we went by train to Devon, and stayed in a hotel. In the evenings, we would compare notes on where we'd been. Everyone else had cars, and were going far away from the hotel. We were finding glens and woods and waterfalls and brooks, and saw all sorts of wildlife, which everyone else seemed to be missing, because they were all off to the tourist spots miles away.
