I think it's great that people are arranging meets and getting together - I'm not likely to get to any of these partly because they seem mainly to be birdy things (no disparagement - but that's not my field!
) and partly because I have other committments.
However, if I were going to one, I would want to know how to get there by public transport. Looking through the threads, I see this has only been mentioned once (to Thursfield) ... I think it should be a priority when anyone suggests a meet.
I do, however, appreciate that some people offer lifts or car shares - the next best thing or even
preferable if you can fill a car ... ?
It isn't difficult to arrange these things on a fairly local scale but surely we ought to be working towards "environmentally friendly" transport on a larger scale?
