The closest stations are Milford and Whitley (just right of the A3 on the map, a bit further away are Farnham, Haslemere and Godalming. For those driving, the A3 joins the M25, and the A331 (pan out and north) joins the M3.
I was at a wedding reception that weekend and from the garden we were overlooking the whole area involved in the fire, it was huge !. It had been burning for some days previous with huge smoke clouds dominating the local area. | Thanks for that-very helpful. The map looks just what we need to all meet up at the car park.
