| Littering I returned home after work and there was a delivery van in my reserved parking space. As I reversed back to one of the non reserved bays I saw the driver of the van drop a load of hand made note slips on the floor. Essentially they were probably blank A4 sheets of paper ripped up into maybe 8ths.
After parking my car I walked over to the van and the driver, on seeing me coming, wound his window down. I explained I had seen him drop the litter but he denied it was litter as 'the paper was blank'.
I was shocked that an adult could think in such a way. Needless to say after a word with him both he and his mate were walking around the car park picking up every piece of paper.
Earlier the same day I saw a bloke in his 50's take a spent pack of 10 Embassy out of his pocket and slip them onto the floor. I followed him into the shop, where he proceeded to replace the empty packet. I quickly paid for my diet cola and followed him out and pointed out his error, asking him to pick them up
He looked at me like I was mad. He then got into his lovely new expensive car. What an example to set kids. At 50+ you would think he should know better. |
