Hi there,
Well I'm glad to be part of the forum and hope to contribute, share and learn with you all. Since a young age I can remember being facinated by wildlife, now in my early thirties I think my facination and love for our wildlife and the outdoors has developed into a passion.
I have been a keen photographer for many years and for good while now I have been working as a freelance Surf Photographer, enjoying the power of the seas and the watermen/women that challenge it. The equipment I use for capturing surfing images is perfectly suited to wildlife photography and so I soon became hooked in this field, in fact it feels that my allegiance is maybe beginning to sway.
So far most of my wildlife encounters has been based on our winged friends, having the estuary and a local pond close by has made it easy to get to grips with some of the basics. I would like to start photographing mammals as well but at present I think its fair to say I'm lacking in some essential understandings and technique to help me on my way.
It would be great to here from people in my area and perhaps share a little knowledge (mainly on your part I'm affraid

) and also meet up at times to share a day out.
Anyway I'll stop going on now and finish by wishing you all the very best in the New Year.
Raff
