I am a qualified accountant, working as a freelance financial consultant for the Western Isles Health Board since May. Working in Stornoway in the week, staying in Benbecula at weekends. Because of the remoteness of the isles the Council Offices and Health Boards mostly close. So I decided to work from home this week, good move as most of the ferries are cancelled....and the chocolates are here!!!
We just a brief interlude when we drove down to the Co-op but a herring gull got blown into the windscreen of the Discovery, I made Dave stop and the gull did fly away. It was the strengh of the wind but Dave thought it had eaten too many Christmas Puddings
