Everybody deserves a massive pat on the back for all their individual efforts. This site has turned into a fantastic community through contributors that have recognised its unique style, and friendly approach, to a plethora of subjects close to all of our hearts.
The name says it all. You're all Wild About Britain. From stunning photography, considered debate, wise words, welcoming advice and the odd joke here and there

I have witnessed this site evolve into a 'right nice place' to sit down with a mug of coffee and chat and learn, with other like minded individuals.
For me, appreciation of my surroundings and the knowledge I have gained from the site is immeasurable. I spent a lot of time on here last year when 'in between jobs', and the site kept me sane. Having time on my hands and the chance to share my experiences with others meant I got out far more often and studied things in greater detail, posting my findings, on the site, and then being educated on the species etc I had encountered by the sites many contributors.
I am now working full time again but am still 'getting in' 6 miles by foot a day and will be back out on the bike when the weather improves.
Those of you that have followed my progress know how you helped me become more proficient in photography and with a better eye for my surroundings.
Some of you even helped me with my exams last year with the acrostic competitions I set up.
Little do all of you know just how much you have helped me over the past year and again, I applaud everybody's efforts.
