Lovely photo- certainly much scarcer down south than they were 2 or 3 decades ago. I remember watching their courtship displays on Wormwood Scrubs in my teens, now they are long gone.
Couple of years back I took a coach party to Titchwell + we had 3 species of them- Arctic, Mealy + Lesser Redpolls all in same Alder. We were all pretty pleased with our luck! |
