There are shifty people who haunt the local greengrocers specificaly to buy or better yet, be given black bananas.
It is an easy wine to make and has good body so is useful to add to less robust wines,No it does not taste of banana!
My particular wine favourite is Shiraz or Syrah or Sirah. Petite Sirah by Boulders is in my opinion excellent
Blackberry wine is my favourite homemade but I am always torn between leaving them for the wildlife,eating them off the bramble,in pies ,with icecream
or three pounds to make 5ltrsof wine, the wine usualy wins!
