I wonder how helpful this is? Some people might be able to adjust these things in their heads but for me it's necessary to get out the ruler ..... e.g. a picture at 2.5x life size, I get the ruler, measure the picture, divide by 5 and multiply by 2 .... far easier to say that the original was 5mms long?
And even worse the other way round - the screen size is 20cms, the insect was 4mms long therefore do the calculation and describe it as 50x. Surely easier just to say what the original length was?
.... and, of course, there are two screen sizes .... !
