I have to say though that on the face of it, it is a good idea but in practice it doesn't always work. I have organised, or suggested, quite a few meets on WAB. One of them was at Anglesey when only two turned up. One in Cornwall didn't generate any interest and one at Bempton (apart from a few friends that were going anyway) only generated about three or four members.
If you are talking about BF meets they have suffered the same fate. Some can be well attended. I can think of a Minsmeet meet a couple of years ago where over 20 people attended and yet a year later only a handful turned up.
A members meeting forum is a good idea and one that we can talk about when a few of us get together (possibly this weekend).

Well if you come to my part of Devon I know of 3 that WILL turn up
and we are looking forward to meeting as many Wabbers as possible.So come on you wabbers book a holiday in Sunny Exmouth.Then you can go to Dawlish Warren,Bowling Green Marsh,Halden Forest,Stover and many other places that only take an hour or so to get to from Exmouth
Oh and anyone who is stuck for somewhere to stay I have 2 rooms and 3 beds
