Hi Nightshade.
I've been noticing the same thing!!! Some are almost black while others are shades of brown and greenish yellow with some very bold patterning. Frogs are certainly the masters of camouflage aren't they?
Mind you I suppose they have to be seeing as how they're on just about everything elses menu.
