I also think there should be stricter limits on bonfires, although ofcourse nobody has time to enforce the law. There was a massive one in somebody's garden the other evening and you could hardly see or breathe along a long stretch of road. |
I agree that fireworks have got totally out of hand. My dog has been terrified for weeks and I have had to sit up at night with her. She has been so scared she has lost control of her bowels at times. The bangs go on until 2 or 3 am. Other pet owners have had to get tranquilisers for their animals. The new regulations are unenforceable and I feel strongly that the sale of fireworks to the public must be banned and only licensed authorities should be allowed to use them at specific times.
Please please write to your MPs and ministers to impress on them the seriousness of this nuisance.
