Thanks for the book titles, nightshade. I was hoping someone would recommend some. Would you recommend the Opticron, then? £59 is remarkably cheaper than I had thought the bottom of the range would be. I bought my son a night vision scope years ago, before I really knew what they were, as he goes camping a lot in the New Forest area, and I paid about £150-£200 for it. Don't know what make it was, but he was pleased with it. I couldn't afford to buy myself one like that at the moment, but might try the one you suggest if it's ok.

Badgers or foxes, apart from the odd run through the garden to show them she's here. I've never heard of a streaming webcam. That sounds fun. I must investigate. I'm finding I hardly have time to go to work, there's so much to watch here. It takes me hours to put the laundry away, because I pass so many windows, and there's always something going on in the gardens!
