| Re: fireworks I'm not against fireworks, but would like them to be made a lot quieter than they are. If they weren't so noisy, the unruly element who let them off at all hours of the day and night, would not find them so interesting anyway, so perhaps solving 2 problems in one.
We have cats, who are fairly bombproof and are lucky to live over half a mile from the nearest village, where the local pub always has a good firework display on the night. It doesn't seem to bother our animals that much, but our neighbours once had a bonfire party (without warning us) and we were looking after a friend's horse at the time aswell. I spent over half an hour in the rain, trying to comfort her, our own pony and 2 goats, who were absolutely pertrified.
They always give warnings about keeping pets indoors, but if you have livestock, thats not so easy, plus wildlife is equally affected. |
