I see the birds doing this every day after they feed. I think they are cleaning there beaks. I know this is a little out of context but we used to have a hamster that we had to take to the vet to get his teeth cut as they never stopped growing. I think it's possible that bird beaks like hamster teeth and human nails continue to grow. If this is the case then they could be filing there beaks
