Ian (my OH) and I took a trip up to the Loch of Lowes osprey reserve today and were lucky enough to see the male take a fish from the loch.
He circled over the nest site and then landed and passed it to the female. They have two extremely healthy chicks which are on the point of fledging and it was wonderful to see their mother tear off small bits of the fish and delicately feed them in turn.
Only downside to the day was that we didn't have the mount for our telescope with us (Ian's fault of course
) so we couldn't attach the camera and take piccies.
Certainly a red letter day for me!!!
