Thanks all for suggestions, i have contacted the group mentioned above and a meeting will be arranged.
hopefully once some proactive steps have been taken then next years crossing wont be such a bloodbath, ive already spoken to one of the groups mentioned above and they seem to have the infrastructure in place to progress this, more so than i ever could.
ill post back with some results.
