Found it difficult to look at this under the microscope...
I tried looking at the spore 'sprouting' edge of a singular gill but only a few structures there which were difficult to distinguish. I think I tried 400x, 200x and 50x although it may have been 100x instead of 200x.
Not really sure how to get the best results. I was seeing spores at 400x (with a different species of mushroom) so I assumed that was too far to go really if I am wanting to look at the Cheilocystidia?! |
