If you want to find more, you could do worse than visit an Alder carr, or anywhere damp with lots of Willow and/or Alder. It was quite common in our area last year, and one local bog regularly has loads of the stuff. Just watch where you walk, as I discovered last year when my right leg sank several feet into soft peat.

If you do visit a carr, keep an eye open for Ciboria amentacea and Phellinus igniarius.
