I'm not familiar with your equipment but using a x2 converter could well be the problem. With most lenses, they can only be manually focused although they will auto focus on a few selected lenses in good light. But tend to fail when the light is poor or there is insufficient contrast in the target.
Taping over some of the lens contacts can help with auto focus when using a converter in some circumstances but it can still give erratic performance.
Try again without the converter and see if the problem goes away. |
