I'll try the suggestions and see how that goes. It was difficult to get any lower as this was in a fairly tight ravine, for this shot I was on a ledge and it was, as far as I could see, the best place for a shot. There was no more room for movement to my left. Could I have paddled? Hmm ideas for my next trip maybe

I really enjoyed myself. First holiday since I got my camera so loads to see and learn, beautiful places to go around there. I'm very jealous
. Ruts - no but I did see plenty of deer and also saw a stag, no photos though. I did post in the Red Deer Rut thread also about it if you find it.
Gerry - thats a lovely shot also, a real feeling of power coming from the water, bet the noise was something else. Guessing it's not somewhere you'd want to slip in.
