The blackbird, or maybe the blue tit. Can't quite decide. Both are great characters ... I learnt that blackbirds are not all the same, have very distinct individual characters, which when they are resident in your garden you start to notice. And they will build up a relationship with humans, know how to use us

. The blue tits also have great character, very cheeky little birds and seem to be very lovey-dovey faithful pairs, unlike the blackbirds that seem to have a 'marriage' of convenience during the breeding season and are very unfaithful and then become 'single' for the rest of the year

And coming in close on their heels (or should that be wings) is the swift. That screaming as they rush round the eaves, that is summer ....
