this is one of the great things about WAB, whatever you may not know, there is sure to be someone on WAB who does know
knowing very little about trees, especially conifers, i thought it was spruce, as another wood i visit has some sitka spruce planted there (i only know they are sitka spruce because there is a large picture sign in the wood showing what trees are planted there) and the foliage and cones were similar(although the sitka cones were larger)
and to my limited eyes, one conifer looks much like another at the moment, a fact i hope to improve on in the future
