Australia was quite a green country before 911, but it is
my theory that nowadays the average Aussie is more concerned with material gain and media trivia than our awsome countryside. But that is not to say there isnt dedicated people who love and nurture our environment, the Greens have 4 senators in our parlianment.
ogwen, Our bizarre constellations are awesome. From where I live (-32 degrees south) I can see every first magnitude star as well as the magnellanic clouds and Omega centauri. If I move to the UK i will miss the southern sky.
