We have stayed at loads of places in the Lakes but Blind Tarn near Grasmere is one of my favourites, detatched farmhouse at the foot of the mountains. Down side - about a 20/30 minute walk through gorgeous countryside to the village of Grasmere. No problem in the summer evenings of course. The advert used to say 1 dog, but we asked and we were allowed to take both of ours. It's brill!
