This small spider has been living in a tube web at the base of a Pitcher Plant in the kitchen for two years. Rarely seen outside of the tube, he's ventured out today in the dim light and I've stuggled to get into a position to photo him without him shooting back into the tube.
This image is highly cropped and poor but there appear to be some long bristles on the hind pair of legs and using my FSC guide am thinking that it could be Amaurobius similus but I'm not convinced.
I would welcome suggestions as to a conclusive ID if possible. Thanks.
