| Furry snake !
8.30 am three days ago,I was driving along a quiet road when I saw a 'snake',moving quickly across the road.As I got nearer I could see that it wasn't a single animal,but 5 or 6 small furry cylinder shaped animals each approx 4 inches long.They were evenly spaced about 2 inches apart and I could see the road through the gap.
They were moving very fast and by the time I drew level they had disappeared into a garden.
(In case it helps; the road has houses with large gardens on one side,and a hedgerow on the other.There is a busy dual carriageway on the far side of the hedge.The general area is arable farmland.)
My husband suggested they might be stoats,but they didn't seem big enough and I thought stoats and weasels were solitary animals.
I am very curious about this and hope someone can shed some light. |
