Possibly on account the exceptionaly mild autumn we have had? I'm semi-rural and saw hardly any birds from August untill mid-October, but have to say they seem to have returned now. Plenty of goldies and greenies plus a few sparrows.
Plus about a dozen starlings who are demolishing the suet cake as we speak!
