Re: Bird of the day!

Initially I thought the coal tits on my sunflower seed feeder again. It always amuses me how they queue up to be on the feeder, never more than one at a time, others waiting their turn in the privets nearby. Then a robin surprised my by getting onto the peanut feeder, followed by dunnocks and even a wren, neither of which seemed to know how to actually get at the feed. Finally decided my BOTD is a grey wagtail, seen in a carpark, nowhere near a stream or river. It was attacking its image in a car's door mirror some 10 yards away. It then walked across the car roof and attacked the wagtail resident in the other mirror. Finally it perched on my own door mirror, no more than a foot away and then attacked its reflection in the glass. So close a view, but no camera. It was unfortunately scared off by someone getting into the next car, but a very pleasing few moments.
