Not much free time, as I am at the BMS foray in Suffolk all week, but the only other possibility this could be is
Pluteus aurantiorugosus which I have found twice, but on both occasions had some yellow under the red on the cuticle 'trying to work it's way through' and I don't recall them being as lubricus as your specimen - so yes, I would agree with
S. aurantica.
You could check the cheiocystidia, which are quite distinctive with
Pluteus, but if it is
Pluteus, the gills should soon be getting pink anyway as you know.
