I've had a look under a 10x lens. The gills are a cream colour exceptthe
veryends are darker. I've looked in Phillips (new edition) and from that I would say that M olivaceomarginata looks more like what I have than M aetities except that the caps of mine are not such a reddish brown.
And I was only looking to establish that I'd got the genus correct!
