Where he was sat today the bird table is just to the left of him under some overhanging tree branches, i`ll have to move it again as its like a free Mconalds at the min. Our area is full of birds which is probably why the sparrowhawk has moved in, i`m fairly certain that him and a possible partner are roosting here full time in the big trees at the back.

Like you say its nature, i like having the sparrowhawk around, where ever the other birds go they will always find a hawk of some kind not far away. It looks like our regular starlings have arrived for the winter as a group of about 30 of them were on the lawn today, the hawk wasn`t here last winter but it won`t take the starlings too long to work out that he`s around.

Were down on blackbirds at the min as we had quite a few last year, ive only seen one in about a month, we have large gangs of finches though and doves, the sparrowhawk had a collared dove last week and some other birds not long before that, he`s certainly eating well.
