| Re: Cute, fluffy and horribly greedy I also read this article last week in the paper. As it was supposedly about 'helping the environment', I couldn't help but feel sceptical when I read that this was written by Americans.
I did wonder what big cars they drove, whether they were veggies or ate burgers and how much they did in general to save energy.
As for what they were proposing - I had to have my elderly cat put to sleep in April. She was my only companion after coming out of a painful, long marriage. She was 'there for me' when a lot of so-called friends walked away and it still breaks my heart to think about her loss.
Thinking about the future of our planet and still so many people living in poverty, it amazes me money being spent on going into outer space and holding Olympic games etc in poor countries.
I personally can't see how keeping a cat or dog etc can compare to such extreme thoughts. |
