I agree that the vignette in the 2nd one is quite sharp. I have since though redone it for print purposes and feathered it twice the amount, which looks much better.

Unfortunately f/16 wasn't an option in A (Ae) mode, well it was, it just meant switching to M and guesstimating exposure time. Need more practice with that (I suppose some compensation can be made in editing in ACR)

I have always focused on infinity, don't know why. Inexperience I think. It is only in the last few weeks that I have started to focus on foreground/hyperfocal area, something I should get used to more often.

I have a couple of images where I have done this. Something for another topic.
