A friend of mine is currently the first person in the World to attempt walking the entire length of the Amazon river. He is on day 575 and expects to finish in May 2010, although he is currently without accuarte GPS and having had his sponsor pull out is living on hand outs from local settlements and feasting only on farine and piranha caught in his nets.
