I am surprised by what Graham had to say, though I suspect its because the sigma has a 500 top end.I got a 100-400l series lens which is virtuall always stuck on the 400 end. Perhaps I am in the minority,I don't know,but if I had my time and money over again I would definitely go for the biggest and best prime lens I could afford. And then get a converter.
