I don't know about any particular etiquette. Surely it is down to good manners (which is sadly lacking today). I have been in a birdwatching hide and people have already been in there so I keep quiet. If they should start talking to me about what is around then I join the conversation. Other times I have been first and it is usually children that come in and I try to encourage them to see what is out there. Although I must admit some of them come in quite noisily and frighten everything away. I am not a serious birder but I try to respect those that are. |
