Question Silvery leafed tree identification help please

Hi All

We moved into our house 2 years ago and inherited a tree that I thought was some sort of willow...just ornamental

However, this year it has fruited...please see pics. They look like tiny pears to me. But I have researched a bit and I can't find any pear trees with the narrow silvery 6cm twisty leaves that it has...has anybody got any ideas? 'Crab' pear? Ornamental pear? They don't seem to be getting any bigger (about 4cm) and it's mid Oct.

Any help appreciated! Please note the shape of the tree may not be a guide as I have toddlers and it has been randomly pruned and pulled about them.

Thanks
Claire
