In season this is a superb reserve, with a good population of marsh fritillaries and other goodies like nightingales singing and woodcocks roding. Southrey Wood for brwon hairstreaks isn't far either.
However, at this time of the year, try Far Ings in the far north of the county. They have bitterns, cetti's warblers and bearded tits as I recall. It's a nice reserve.
