This one has been done to death a bit. That's probably why there haven't been any replies yet. Try searching camera forums for 'insurance'.
By far the cheapest option seems to be to add the photographic equipment to your house insurance. Although you might have to shop around a bit as not every company will offer you a bargain.
As well as being cheaper, in my experience the house insurance companies also impose fewer restrictions. For eg. my old 'specialist' company would not insure against theft from a vehicle, even when the stuff was locked in the boot. This is no problem for my new insurance company.
