Re: Sky Tv

I don't see why anyone would want one of those ugly satellite dishes or watch some of Sky's ugly programmes - far better to have cable on which all the programmes mentioned are available without having Sky programmes forced on you (if you're so demented as to want them then you can pay separately). Telewest (now with NTL soon to be Virgin) does quite nice bundles of television/unlimited broadband/cheap telephone calls [and soon to incorporate mobiles?] which make the alternatives, bought as separate items, seem incredibly expensive .....

I dont rate sky as 70% of the channels are garbage or foreign or bid tv style ones...telewest seems to be more selective with less of the junk....one channel i do watch a lot ( apart from the obvious discovery, real time, animal planet, national geo etc) is a channel called Community Channel which covers a heap of uk conservation projects and world conservation and biodiversity issues...! very good. but as with ALL sky/satellite/cable channels they seem to be on a 4 hour loop....which doesnt change for days....i can watch the same episode of river cottage four times in a long day on the same channel !....i love hugh but come on......?
