I just saw this thread on the recent posts list so thought I'd take a look - I'm doing lots of stuff with wild berries at the moment. Last year was the first time I'd tried an old recipe I had for making jelly with hawthorn berries and the kids loved it so we have collected two large tubs of berries to make it again. It is similar to something people have said above, like a sticky jelly sweet. My recipe leaflet calls it "nature's fruit pastilles".
