| Re: 'Dog fights' Looks like a Hispano Aviación Ha 1112 'Buchon' which was the 'German' fighter borrowed from Spain for the Film 'Battle Of Britain' portraying 'Emils' and 'Gustavs' using the same Rolls-Royce Merlin engines which had powered Spitfires, which accounts for ridiculous mouth air intake under the prop. Of course, 'Gustavs' were never in the Battle of Britain being first flown in 1942. Airframe was basically a Messerschmidt Me 109 G-2 Gustav. These aircraft were built until 1958 although some were fitted with Hispano-Suiza engines and labeled as 'Tripala'.
The Spit is I think a mark IXC (type361) but I could be mistaken as Supermarine had more modification numbers than a horse has hairs.
The Crows and Kessie can fly better tho'! |
